Thanks for the poem that's the way I feel sometimes like am hanging on a thread but I still hold on to hope in Christ Jesus that he is with me and this storm will pass
This is beautiful, Kassi! I am here in the Asheville, NC-Upper East Tennessee disaster zone, and I am holding on to a vision of what life COULD look like, after this is over. Magical thinking is a powerful gift.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! This poem was written months ago, it seemed fitting to share it amid all that’s going on. Poetry is a beautiful way to imagine a better world. 🌎
I’m definitely feeling the weight of this tumultuous time and I also really resonate with the part about mood swings… my goodness one moment I’m full of love, awe, and gratitude for life and the next I’m grumpy or heavy with sadness. It’s honestly been kind of crazy how much my emotions fluctuate lately
I appreciate your words so much. I woke this morning, my mind heavy with images, the confusing stuff of dreams, and sought solace in writing a poem, my mind trying to connect with my heart. And the heart carries so many, many things. And it is so good to lean in and listen close, even when we don't yet understand the answers.
The world and our lives are in tumultuous change right now. I hope we can right the ship and help nature find a way to survive climate change. Thanks Kassi for some timely thoughts.
Really love this!! Where in Ohio are you?! We're from Cincinnati!
I’m right outside Cincinnati, on the east side. Near Little Miami River.
Despite the roaring storm that is our world right now, I am good 🫶🏻
My gratitude practice has been working overtime to remind me of all of the little (and big things) to celebrate 🎉
And when all of that fails, I take a nap 😴😋 because it’s cold and rainy here today and that’s exactly what ought to happen on rainy days.
Sending you lots of love 💗 I loved your writing style✍🏼 full of tangible passion.
Thank you Megan for sharing your thoughts, sounds like a good practice to do good work and rest when needed. 🕊️

❤️🩹 Somehow words, and writing help. It’s hard to feel the frail state of life, it feels too raw sometimes.
Yes I completely agree
This is lovely, I'm sharing on my own website <3
Yes, feeling the heaviness right now. Thank you for this gorgeous poem, Kassi 💗
